Siouxland WIC
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and
Children (WIC) provides nutrition information, healthy foods, and
referrals for other services. WIC serves pregnant, postpartum, and
breastfeeding women, and children under age 5. Eligibility is based on
income, Iowa residence, and a medical or nutritional need.
Participants receive:
- Nutrition and health information
- Breastfeeding support
- Referrals for other services
- Checks for healthy foods

Resource Center
The Resource Center serves families with children ages 0-5 within
Woodbury County.
Services provided:
- Assessment of family strengths and needs
- Customized information and referral
- Group and Individual classes in English and Spanish
- Class topics include healthy pregnancy, baby basics, positive
discipline building self-esteem and school readiness
- Essential safety items may be earned by following an individual
learning plan
- Screening opportunities onsite and through mobile services
include lead, oral health and AEA developmental screens

Oral Health Program
The Oral Health Program provides oral health screenings, education and
fluoride varnish application for children under age 5 in Woodbury
County. These screenings are mobile and can be provided in local
communities or at the health department.
