Hello and welcome to the Woodbury County Recorder’s Office. A
significant portion of duties performed by other county officials is
dependent on the work performed by our office.
Woodbury County’s Recorder’s Office is unique in the State of Iowa.
Woodbury County is the only county in the State where the office of the
recorder and auditor have been combined. This occurred by popular vote
in 1994.
Effective January 1, 1995, the Woodbury County Auditor became known as
the Auditor and Recorder and is the elected official over both offices.
We are an office filled with friendly, capable, service-oriented staff
ready to serve you. We house five "mini" departments within our office
walls, which provide a wide range of services.
