                                  David Gleiser

David Gleiser is Director of the Rural Economic Development Department for Woodbury County. As Director, David oversees the department's day-to-day operations and its economic development and marketing strategies. His duties include managing the department's budget and loan program, internal and external communications, working with local, state and federal legislators, advocating for residents, businesses and farmers throughout the county, as well as attracting, developing, and retaining industrial, commercial and residential development projects in rural Woodbury County.

David is a Siouxland native and a graduate from North High School in Sioux City. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Dakota, with a dual emphasis in Public Relations and Marketing. He also earned his Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Nebraska, with a concentration in Local Government, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Public Management. He lives in Sioux City with his wife, Lydia and their two daughters, Micsha and Olivia.

David enjoys the outdoors and he appreciates the quality of life that living in Woodbury County affords him and his family.
